None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and and He is Able to do all things, there is no might nor power except with Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah and we worship none except Him. For Him is all favor, grace, and glorious praise. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him although the disbelievers detest it.

Translation

Abdullah ibn Az-Zubair narrated: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) concluded his prayer, he would say: “None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Able to do all things. There is no power and no might except with Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and we worship none except Him. To Him belongs all favor, grace, and the most excellent praise. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and we devote our religion sincerely to Him, even if the disbelievers dislike it.” (Sahih Muslim 594)

Frequently Asked Questions

Saying salam is a nice thing, but there are times when it's better not to. For example, don’t say salam to someone who is praying, making the adhan or iqama, reading the Quran, saying the Talbiya, in the middle of a lesson, listening to the Friday khutbah, or if they’re asleep. Also, you shouldn’t greet someone who is in the bathroom or using the toilet.
