225. Dua For Sajdah in Quran
Prophet (ﷺ) recited the verse of prostration and went to sujood and make this dua:
اَللَّهُمَّ اكْتُبْ لِي بِهَا عِنْدَكَ أَجْرًا، وَضَعْ عَنِّي بِهَا وِزْرًا، وَاجْعَلْهَا لِي عِنْدَكَ ذُخْرًا، وَتَقَبَّلْهَا مِنِّي كَمَا تَقَبَّلْتَهَا مِنْ عَبْدِكَ دَاوُدَ

Allahum-maktub lee bihaa ‘indaka ‘ajran, wada', ‘annee bihaa wizran, waj’alhaa lee ‘indaka dhukhran, wa taqabbalhaa minnee kamaa taqabbaltahaa min ’abdika Daawood

O Allah, write it as a reward for me, and release me from a sin for it, and make it a treasure for me in Paradise. Accept it from me as You accepted it from your servant Dawud.
Hadith about the Dua
Arabic Text
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَرَأَ السَّجْدَةَ كَبَّرَ وَسَجَدَ، وَقَالَ فِي سُجُودِهِ: "اللَّهُمَّ اكْتُبْ لِي بِهَا عِنْدَكَ أَجْرًا، وَضَعْ عَنِّي بِهَا وِزْرًا، وَاجْعَلْهَا لِي عِنْدَكَ ذُخْرًا، وَتَقَبَّلْهَا مِنِّي كَمَا تَقَبَّلْتَهَا مِنْ عَبْدِكَ دَاوُدَ". قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.
Aishah narrated: When the Prophet (ﷺ) would recite a verse containing a prostration, he would say takbeer and prostrate, and in his prostration he would say: "O Allah, record for me with it a reward with You, and remove from me with it a sin, and make it for me a treasure with You, and accept it from me as You accepted it from Your servant Dawud." This is a Hasan hadith.
