اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَرَمِ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ

Dua e Mashura English Transliteration

Allaahumma innee A‛oodhu bika minal kasali, wa A‛oodhu bika minal jubni, wa A‛oodhu bika minal harami, wa A‛oodhu bika minal bukhl.

Dua e Mashura English Translation

O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness, and seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek refuge with You from geriatric old age, and seek refuge with You from miserliness.

Hadith about the Dua

Arabic Text

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: "اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ."

Translation

Anas bin Malik narrated: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: "O Allah, I seek refuge with You from incapacity and laziness, and I seek refuge with You from cowardice and senility, and I seek refuge with You from miserliness."
