771. Dua for seeking forgiveness, sustenance and healthy life
A man had come to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), he heard him say: "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), what should I say when I ask of Allah?" He (ﷺ) said: "Say:
اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِيْ وَعَافِنِيْ وَارْزُقْنِيْ
Allaahumma-ghfir li warhamni wa 'aafini warzuqni
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, keep me safe and sound and grant me provision.
And he held up his four fingers apart from the thumb and said: "These will combine your religious and worldly affairs."
