Hadith about the Dua

Translation

Jabir narrated: I slaughtered with the Prophet (ﷺ) more than once, and when he turned (the animal) towards the Qiblah he said: “In the Name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, (this is) from You and for You. O Allah, accept it from me.”

Frequently Asked Questions

The animal needs to be healthy and should not have any sickness. It shouldn’t be blind, missing an eye, or missing parts of its ears or tail. Islam doesn’t allow cutting animals' ears or tails. When doing qurbani, you got to follow the dhabihah way. Most scholars say the animal should be a domestic one, not wild.
