486. Gratitude in Islam (Jazakallah Khairan)
Jazakallah Khair in Arabic
جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
Jazakallah Khair in Arabic English Transliteration
JazaakAllahu khayran
Jazakallah Khair in Arabic English Translation
May Allah reward you with good.
We have seen that the believer never expects gratitude or recompense from anyone who benefits him. On the other hand, it is the duty of the beneficent believer to express gratitude to the benefactor, to praise him, to openly acknowledge his beneficence, and to pray for him. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If someone does good to someone and he gives thanks to the benefactor by saying this, then it will be best appreciated.
