439. Dua to overcome Anxiety (Masnun Dua)

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), used to say during the battle:

اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُدِي، وَأَنْتَ نَصِيرِي، بِكَ أَحُولُ وَبِكَ أَصُولُ، وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ

Allaahumma 'Anta 'adhudee, wa 'Anta naseeree, bika 'a'hoolu, wa bika 'asoolu, wa bika 'uqaatilu

Dua to overcome Anxiety English Translation

O Allah, You are my strength and You are my support. For Your sake I go forth and for Your sake I advance and for Your sake I fight.

Arabic Text

عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: "اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُدِي وَأَنْتَ نَصِيرِي، بِكَ أَحُولُ، وَبِكَ أَصُولُ، وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ"

Translation

Abu Musa narrated: The Prophet ﷺ said: “O Allah, You are my strength and You are my support. By You I move, by You I attack, and by You I fight.”

Transliteration: Allahumma innee a'uzubika min alhammi wal huzni wal ajzi wal kasli wal bukhli wal jubni wa dala'id dayni wa galabatir rijaal. Translation: O Allah, I take refuge in you from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.
