359. Leaving Mosque Dua for Protection from Satan

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) instructed to recite this dhikr while leaving the mosque -

اَللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِيْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

Hadith about the Dua

Arabic Text

اَللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِيْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

Translation

O Allah, protect me from Satan the accursed. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When one of you leaves the mosque, let him say: 'O Allah, protect me from Satan the accursed (Allahumma ajirni minash-Shaytanir-rajeem).'" حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ إِذَا خَرَجَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلْيَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ‏"‏‏.‏ (Sahih – Ibn Hibban: 2047)
