211. Sujood Dua (Hadith)
Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, I am forbidden to read the Qur'an in bowing and prostration. But in ruku 'you describe the greatness of Allah. And do more and more Dua in sujood. Sujood is a suitable place for accepting your Dua. [1]
It is evident from the above-mentioned hadiths that, one should supplicate more and more in the state of prostration. And in this state, the dua is answered. So, one can supplicate any dua mentioned in authentic hadiths except quranic duas. Cause it is prohibited to supplicate by quranic dua in the state of bowing down and prostration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reading the Quran during sujood isn’t something most scholars recommend. They usually say it’s makruh, which means disliked, unless you’re reciting something as a dua. Imam Al-Saawi, from the Maliki school, mentioned that it’s better not to read Quran while bowing or in sujood, unless you’re turning an ayah into a supplication.
