A'oodhu billaahi minash-Shaytaanir-rajeem

Dua for Anger English Translation

I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.

Sulaiman ibn Surad (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Saying these words will remove the anger of the angry person. We have seen that suppressing anger and forgiving those who are angry is one of the ways to gain Allah's mercy. Therefore, when a believer feels anger, he should say this sentence again and again, looking at the meaning.

Translation

Sulaiman bin Surad narrated: “I was sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) when two men were arguing and the face of one of them turned red and his veins became swollen. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘I know a word, if he were to say it, what he feels would go away: If he said: I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.’ So they said to the man: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.”
