314. Dua of Iftar
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي
Dua of Iftar English Transliteration
Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka birahmatikal-latee wasi'at kulla shay'in 'an taghfira lee
Dua of Iftar English Translation
O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy, which encompasses all things, that You forgive me.
Abdullah bin Amr (RA) used to say this dua during Iftar.

Even if you forget to say the dua of iftar or miss the iftar duas, your fast is still valid. The main thing is to avoid eating, drinking, and other things that break the fast from dawn to sunset. Not saying the dua before iftar doesn’t make your fast invalid, but it’s always better to remember it if you can.
