242. Dua Mathurah #12

Narrated by Mizan Ibn Arda (RA): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered the mosque. Then a person is reciting Tashahhud towards the end of the prayer. He says:

Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka yaaAllahu bi'annakal-Waahidul-'Ahadus-Samadul-ladhee, lam yalid wa lam yoolad, wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan 'Ahad, 'an taghfira lee dhunoobee 'innaka 'Antal-Ghafoorur-Raheem

Translation

O Allah, I ask You. O Allah, You are the One, the Only, Self-Sufficient Master, Who was not begotten and begets not and none is equal to Him. Forgive me my sins, surely you are Forgiving, Merciful.

After hearing his supplication, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said three times, "He has been forgiven."
