237. Dua Mathurah #7
Protection from punishment of the grave, trials of life, death & Dajjal, from sin & debt:
Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oodhu bika min 'adhaabil-qabr, wa 'a'oodhu bika min fitnatil-maseehid-dajjaal, wa 'a'oodhu bika min fitnatil-mahyaa wal-mamaat. Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oodhu bika minal-ma'thami wal-maghram
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the False Messiah, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and from debt.
Narrated by `Aisha (RA) (the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to say this dua in the prayer. She said to him, "Why do you so frequently seek refuge with Allah from being in debt?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "A person who in debt tells lies whenever he speaks, and breaks promises whenever he makes (them)."
