233. Dua Masura #3 (Allahummaghfirli Ma Qaddamtu)

Rasulullah (ﷺ) used to say these words at the end of the prayer between Tashahhud and Salam:

اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَفْتُ وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Dua Masura English Transliteration

Allahum-maghfir lee maa qaddamtu, wa maa 'akhkhartu, wa maa 'asrartu, wa maa 'a'lantu, wa maa 'asraftu, wa maa 'Anta 'a'lamu bihi minnee. 'Antal-Muqaddimu, wa 'Antal-Mu'akhkhiru laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta

Dua Masura English Translation

O Allah, forgive me what I have sent before me and what I have left behind me, what I have concealed and what I have done openly, what I have done in excess, and what You are better aware of than I. You are the One Who sends forth and You are the One Who delays. There is none worthy of worship but You.

After tashahood, The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicate this dua at the end, before saying salaam.

Arabic Text

عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ ‏:‏ ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَفْتُ وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Translation

Ali narrated: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood for prayer, he would say: "O Allah, forgive me what I have sent before me and what I have left behind, and what I have concealed and what I have done openly, and what I have transgressed, and what You are better aware of than I. You are the One Who brings forward and You are the One Who delays. There is none worthy of worship but You." (Sahih Muslim 771)
