Hadith about the Dua
Arabic Text
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي قَدْ تَصَدَّقْتُ بِعِرْضِي عَلَى عِبَادِكَ
O Allah, I have given away my honour as charity to Your servants. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever has wronged his brother with regard to his honour or anything else, let him seek his forgiveness today, before there will be neither dinar nor dirham. If he has any good deeds, they will be taken from him in proportion to the wrong he has done; and if he has no good deeds, some of the bad deeds of his companion will be taken and loaded onto him.” (Sunan Abi Dawud 4886, graded Sahih by Al-Albani)
