535. Powerful Dua for pain relief

باِسْمِ اللَّهِ تُرْبَةُ أَرْضِنَا بِرِيْقَةِ بَعْضِنَا يُشْفَى (بِهِ) سَقِيْمُنَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّنَا

Dua for pain relief English Translation

In the Name of Allah The earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient.

Ayesha (RA) said that if there was any illness, pain or wound on any part of the body, Rasulullah (ﷺ) would place his (Shahadat) finger on the ground and lift it and recite this Dua. In another narration, he would put a little saliva of his mouth on his finger and put his finger on the ground and then put it in the place of pain and say this dua.

Hadith about the Dua

Arabic Text

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِلْمَرِيضِ بِالتُّرَابِ وَيُسَمِّيهِ: "بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تُرْبَةُ أَرْضِنَا، بِرِيقَةِ بَعْضِنَا، يُشْفَى سَقِيمُنَا، بِإِذْنِ رَبِّنَا".

Translation

Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: Whenever a person complained of pain, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would rub the affected area with his right hand and say: “In the Name of Allah, the earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient, with the permission of our Lord.”
