495. Dua at the end of a sitting/gathering [Kaffaratul Majlis]
Subhaanaka Allaahumma wa bihamdika, 'ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta, 'astaghfiruka wa 'atoobu 'ilayka
Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise is to You. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You.
It is narrated in different authentic chains by the Companions like Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Al-As (RA), Abu Barzah Aslami (RA), Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say these words before leaving the meeting at the end of the meeting. He said, "If anyone says these words while getting up from a meeting, it will be an expiation for the meeting. Because of this, Allah Almighty will forgive the unlawful speech and sins of that meeting.
