344. Sunnah of Rami at the Jamarat
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say when throwing pebbles in three jamarat:
Sunnah of Rami at the Jamarat English Transliteration
Allahu 'Akbar
Sunnah of Rami at the Jamarat English Translation
Allah is the Most Great.
Then he would move forward a little and stand facing the Qibla and would do Dua with both hands raised in the first Jamra and the second Jamra. But at the time of throwing every pebble at Jamratul Akbaba, he would say ‘Allahu Akbar’ and return without staying there.
Hadith about the Dua
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): He used to throw seven pebbles at the Jamrat ad-Dunya, and after each pebble he would say Takbir (i.e., "Allahu Akbar"). Then he would move forward and stand facing the Qiblah, and he would stand for a long time supplicating, raising his hands. Then he would throw at the middle Jamrah and move to one side and stand facing the Qiblah, and he would supplicate, raising his hands. He said, "That is how I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) doing."
