Hadith about the Dua
Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated: “When we prayed with the Prophet (ﷺ), we used to say: 'Peace be upon Allah from His slaves, peace be upon so-and-so and so-and-so.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Do not say: Peace be upon Allah, for Allah Himself is As-Salam (The Peace). Rather, say: All greetings, prayers, and good things are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.'” (Sahih al-Bukhari 7381)
