Hadith about the Dua
Abu Nadrah reported: Whenever Abu Sa‘id bought a new garment, he would name it—whether it was a turban, shirt, or cloak—then he would say: “O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You have clothed me with it, I ask You for its goodness and the goodness for which it was made, and I seek refuge with You from its evil and the evil for which it was made.” And when someone else wore it or he gave it to someone, he used to say: “Wear new clothes, live honorably, and die a martyr.” (Sahih – Al-Albani, Sahih al-Jami‘: 1234)
