Hadith about the Dua
Abu Nadrā reported: Whenever Abu Sa'id bought a new garment, he would name it—whether it was a turban, shirt, or cloak—then say: "O Allah, to You is all praise, You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what it was made for, and I seek refuge with You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for." And when he wore it, he would say: "May you wear it out and may Allah, the Exalted, replace it (with another for you)." (Abu Dawud 4020, graded Sahih by Al-Albani)
