526. Istisqa or prayer for Rain #1
Narrated Jabir bin Abdillah (RA): (Because of draught) some people came to the Prophet (ﷺ) weeping. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said -
اَللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيْثًا مَرِيْئًا مَرِيْعًا نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ آجِلٍ
Allaahumma 'asqinaa ghaythan mugheethan maree-an maree'an, naafi'an ghayra dhaarrin, 'aajilan ghayra 'aajil
O Allah, shower upon us abundant rain, beneficial not harmful, swiftly and not delayed.
Soon the sky became overcast.
