And if something happened that displeased him, he used to say:

Hadith about the Dua

Arabic Text

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ مَا أُصِيبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَطُّ بِمُصِيبَةٍ، وَلاَ رُئِيَ فِي سُرُورٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ قَالَ: "الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ".

Translation

Aishah narrated: "Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was struck with a calamity or he was given something that made him happy, he would say: 'All praise is due to Allah in every circumstance (Alhamdu lillaahi 'alaa kulli haal).'"
