Hadith about the Dua
Abu Bakr As-Siddiq narrated that he said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): “Teach me a supplication that I may recite in my prayer.” He said: “Say: ‘O Allah, indeed I have wronged myself greatly, and none forgives sins except You. So forgive me with forgiveness from You, and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’” (Sunan Abu Dawud: 1516, Sahih - Al-Albani)
