357. Dua for Safety From Shaytan in Mosque

When entering the mosque, say -

أَعُوْذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيمِ وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

Arabic Text

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: إِذَا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ، قَالَ: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ، وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيمِ، وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيمِ، مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ. قَالَ: أَفَرَادَ قُولَهُ: " فَقَالَ: إِذَا قَالَ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ: حُفِظَ مِنِّي سَائِرَ الْيَوْمِ". أخرجه أبو داود (466)، وصححه الألباني.

Translation

Abdullah ibn Amr narrated: When he entered the mosque, he would say: "I seek refuge in Allah, the Magnificent, and in His Noble Face, and in His eternal authority, from the accursed Devil." He (the narrator) said: "He (the Prophet ﷺ) singled out this statement, and said: If he says this, the Devil says: 'He has been protected from me for the whole day.'" (Abu Dawud, 466.
