Duas Before Sleeping English Translation

O Allah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.

The Prophet (ﷺ) taught this dua to be recited in the morning, evening and after bed.

Hadith about the Dua

Translation

Abu Hurairah narrated that Abu Bakr said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘When you go to your bed, say: O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from bringing evil upon myself or upon another Muslim.’” If you die in that night, you will die upon the Fitrah. Make these the last words you say.”
