أُعِيذُكُمَا [أَعُوْذُ] بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

I commend you to the protection of Allah’s perfect words from every devil, vermin, and every evil eye.

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: "Your forefather (i.e. Abraham) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Ishmael and Isaac by reciting."

Hadith about the Dua

Arabic Text

عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَوِّذُ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ، وَيَقُولُ: "إِنَّ أَبَاكُمَا كَانَ يُعَوِّذُ بِهَا إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ: أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ".

Translation

Ibn ‘Abbas narrated: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek refuge for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: "Your forefather (i.e., Ibrahim) used to seek refuge with Allah for Isma'il and Ishaq with these words: I seek protection for you both in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye."
