Method OneRecite the Ruqyah mentioned at the beginning of Chapter six If the Jinn speaks through the patient's person, ask him about the place where the sihr is buried If he does, destroy the sihr and ask him to get out of the patient's body, and once he leaves, the sihr would be invalidated. But, If you recite the ruqya, and the Jinn fails to speak, use the other methods.
Method TwoRecite the following verses several times over some water and advice the patient to drink and wash from it, for few days:Al-Araf: 117-122 وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ ﴿١١٧﴾ فَوَقَعَ الْحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١١٨﴾ فَغُلِبُوا هُنَالِكَ وَانقَلَبُوا صَاغِرِينَ ﴿١١٩﴾ وَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ ﴿١٢٠﴾ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١٢١﴾ رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ ﴿١٢٢﴾ Translation: (117) And We inspired Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying. (118) So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing. (119) And Pharaoh and his people were overcome right there and became debased. (120) And the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah]. (121) They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, (122) The Lord of Moses and Aaron."Surah Yunus: 81-82 فَلَمَّا أَلْقَوْا قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ السِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ ﴿٨١﴾ وَيُحِقُّ اللَّهُ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿٨٢﴾ Translation: (81) And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters. (82) And Allah will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it."Ta-Ha: 69 وَأَلْقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوا ۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا كَيْدُ سَاحِرٍ ۖ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَىٰ ﴿٦٩﴾ Translation: (69) And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is.
Method ThreeCrush seven leaves of green lotus and put them in a pot of water Bring your mouth close to the pot, and stir the crushed leaves whilst reciting ayatul kursi, al-Falaq (113) and An-nas (114). Advise the patient to drink and wash from the water, for a few days, without adding any water to it or heating it. If the patient wants to heat it, then advise him to do so with the sun's heat. The water should not be poured in a filthy place during washing. This would, by Allah's Will, cancel the sihr and the patient will be cured from ar-rabt. He could even be cured after the first wash.
Method FourRecite the Ruqyah and also the following verse in the patient's ear: وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَّنثُورًا ﴿٢٣﴾ Translation: And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. (25:23)Repeat one hundred or more times until the patient's limbs feel numb Repeat this Ruqyah for a few days until the patient feels normal. At that time, rest assured that the sihr would with Allah's Will - have been invalidated.
Method FiveAl-Hafidh (Ra) reported in Fath Al-Bari. Abdurazzak transmitted through Ash-sha'bi, "There is no harm in using the Arabic nushra, which means the patient should pick leaves from the right and left sides of a tree, crush them and mix them with water, then recite the Ruqyah [ayatul kursi, al-Falaq (113) and an-nas (114)] on them, and wash himself with the water. [Al-Bukhari: (Fath Al-Bari: 10/233)]
Method SixYou (patient) should collect as many spring flowers, wild and garden ones, and boil them lightly in a clean pot of fresh water. Wait until the water settles, recite ayatul kursi, al-Falaq (113) and An-nas (114) over the water, then wash yourself, and you would -with Allah's Will - be cured. [Al-Bukhari: (Fath Al-Bari: 10/234)]
Method SevenRecite ayatul kursi, al-Falaq (113), An-nas (114) and the following supplications over a pot of water, then drink and wash from it, for few days and you would - with Allah's Will - be cured: اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ، وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لاَ شِفَاءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا. Transliteration: Allahumma rabba an-nasi, adhibi al-ba'sa washfi anta shafi la shifa'a illa shifa'uka shifa'an la yughadiru saqama.Translation: O Allah, the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble and heal the patient, for You are the Healer. No healing is of any avail but Yours; healing that will leave behind no ailment. (Sahih al-Bukhari 5743) بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حَاسِدٍ اللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ Transliteration: Bismillahi arqika, min kulli shay’in yu’dhika, min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin aw hasidin. Allahu yashfika, bismillahi arqika.Translation: In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that is harming you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may Allah heal you. In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you (Sunan Ibn Majah 3523) أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ كُلِّهِنَّ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ Transliteration: A’udhu bikalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.Translation: I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created (Sunan Abi Dawud 3898) بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لاَ يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ Transliteration: Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'a ismihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim.Translation: In the name of Allah with Whose Name nothing on earth or in heaven harms, and He is the All-Seeing, All-Knowing. (Sunan Ibn Majah 3869)

The sihr of rabt would -with Allah's Will be invalidated. According to Ibn Taymiyya, it is lawful for the ill Muslim to write verses of the Qur'an or supplications on a vessel (dish, etc...), rub the writing out with (water/black seed oil) and drink the water/oil. [Majmu 'Al-Fatawa: 19/64]
Method NineWrite the appropriate Ruqyah on a clean vessel with a clean ink (saffron, for instance), wipe it out with water, then drink the water and wash yourself with it, for a few days; and the sihr would, with Allah's Will be invalidated.
