745. Dua for Knowledge, Rizq & Good Deeds

The Prophet (ﷺ) performed the fajr prayer, after he said the Salam, he would say:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

Dua for Knowledge English Translation

O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision, and deeds that will be accepted.

Hadith about the Dua

Arabic Text

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ حِينَ يُسَلِّمُ يَقُولُ ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Translation

Umm Salamah narrated: "When the Prophet (ﷺ) would perform the morning prayer and say the taslim, he would say: 'O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.'"
