733. Dua for Rizq and Blessings in Livelihood
Once The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made ablution and prayed. Then said:
Dua for Rizq and Blessings in Arabic
اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِيْ وَوَسِّعْ لِي فِي دَارِيْ وَبَارِكْ لِي فِي رِزْقِيْ
Dua for Rizq and Blessings English Transliteration
Allaahummaghfirli dhanbi, wa wassi li fi daari, wa baarik li fi rizqi
Dua for Rizq and Blessings English Translation
O Allah, forgive my sin, grant me expansion in my home and bless my livelihood.
Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Do you see that they leave off anything?
Hadith about the Dua

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْهِلاَلِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّلِيلِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سَمِعْتُ دُعَاءَكَ اللَّيْلَةَ فَكَانَ الَّذِي وَصَلَ إِلَىَّ مِنْهُ أَنَّكَ تَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي وَوَسِّعْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنِي " . قَالَ " فَهَلْ تَرَاهُنَّ تَرَكْنَ شَيْئًا " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَأَبُو السَّلِيلِ اسْمُهُ ضُرَيْبُ بْنُ نُفَيْرٍ وَيُقَالُ ابْنُ نُقَيْرٍ .
Abu Hurairah narrated that a man said: “O Messenger of Allah, I heard your supplication last night, and the part of it that reached me of it, was that you said: ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin, and expand for me my abode, and bless for me that which You have provided me’ (Allāhummaghfirlī dhanbī, wa wassi` lī fī dārī, wa bārik lī fīmā razaqtanī). He said: ‘Do you see that they leave off anything?’” [Hasan (Albani). Tirmidhi: 3500, Sahih Al Jami: 1265]
