142. Dua For Waking Up For Fajr

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: when one of you wakes up, he should say:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِيْ فِي جَسَدِيْ، وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِيْ، وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِ

Hadith about the Dua

Arabic Text

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي فِي جَسَدِي وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.

Translation

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "All praise is due to Allah Who gave strength to my body, returned my soul to me, and permitted me to remember Him."
