Translation

Hudhaifah narrated: “When we attended a meal with the Prophet (ﷺ), we did not put our hands into the food until the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) started and put his hand in. Once, food was brought and a little girl, as if being pushed, came and went to put her hand in the food. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took hold of her hand. Then a Bedouin came as if being pushed, and the Prophet (ﷺ) took hold of his hand and said: ‘Indeed, Satan considers that food lawful for himself when the Name of Allah is not mentioned over it. He brought this girl to make it lawful through her, so I held her hand. Then he brought this Bedouin to make it lawful through him, so I held his hand. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, indeed his hand is with their hands.’ Then he mentioned the Name of Allah and ate.”
