O Allah, provide water for Your servants and Your animals, spread Your mercy, and revive Your dead land. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed us a certain dua for rain when it's too much: 'Allahumma hawalayna wa la 'alayna, Allahumma 'ala al-akami wa'z-zirabi, wa butun al-awdiyah wa manabit ash-shajar.' In English, it means: 'O Allah, let the rain fall around us and not on us. O Allah, (let it fall on) the hills, mountains, valleys, and roots of trees.' This is one of the famous prayers about rain you can use if it's causing problems.
