Dua When Starting Tahajjud Prayer English Translation
O Allah, Lord of Jibra-eel, Meeka-eel and Israfeel (great angles), Creator of the heavens and the Earth, Knower of the seen and the unseen. You are the arbitrator between Your servants in that which they have disputed. Guide me to the truth by Your leave, in that which they have differed, for verily You guide whom You will to a straight path.
Ayesha said that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite this dua at the beginning of the night (tahajjud) prayer.
Hadith about the Dua
Aishah reported: "When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would stand for prayer at night, he would say: 'O Allah, Lord of Jibril, Mika'il and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your slaves concerning that wherein they differ. Guide me by Your permission to the truth concerning that wherein they differ. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.'"
