Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Giving charity in secret removes the anger of the Lord." [abarani in Al-Mu'jam As-Saghir p. 214 and Al-Awsat 1/93/1, see Sahih Al-Jami' no. 3760] He (ﷺ) also said: "Doing good for others protects a person from an evil death, afflictions and ruination." [Al-Hakim 3/568, see Sahih Al-Jami' no. 3795] And he (ﷺ) made charity a type of remedy: "Cure your sick by giving in charity." [Tabarāni and Al-Bayhaqi, see Sahih At-Targhib wat-Tarhib no. 744 and Sahih Al-Jami' no. 3358]
