Hadith about the Dua

Translation

Aishah, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ), reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw a cloud rising in the sky, he would walk to and fro in agitation, go out and come in, and his face would change. When it rained, he would feel relieved. Aishah said: I asked him about it and he said: “O Aishah, perhaps it is as some people said: 'When they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!"’” And when the wind blew strongly, he would say: “O Allah, I ask You for its good, the good within it, and the good it was sent with, and I seek refuge with You from its evil, the evil within it, and the evil it was sent with.”

Frequently Asked Questions

There’s a saying: “Two will not be rejected. The Duaa after the Adhan and the Duaa under the rain.” I’ve heard a bunch of scholars mention that every raindrop is sent down by an angel, each to its own spot. So, when you’re out in the rain making dua for rain or safety, you’re basically surrounded by angels and Allah’s mercy. That makes your prayers really special and there’s a strong hope they’ll be answered.
