418. Dua for Debt Relief & Enemies

It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah ibn' Amr (RA): That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), used to say:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الْعَدُوِّ وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ

Allaahumma inni A‛oodhu bika min ghalabatid-daini, wa ghalabatil-'aduwwi, wa shamaatatil-a'da'i

Dua for Debt Relief English Translation

O Allah, I seek refuge with You from being overwhelmed with debt, from being overpowered by the enemy and from the enemy rejoicing over my misfortunes.

Arabic Text

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الْعَدُوِّ وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ

Translation

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would seek refuge (with Allah) from these (four things): “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from being overcome by debt, from being overpowered by the enemy, and from the enemy’s rejoicing over my misfortune.” (Sahih - An-Nasa’i 5475, graded authentic by Al-Albani)
