382. Sayyidul Istighfar (Best way to ask forgiveness)
اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِيْ فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَاَنَا عَلٰى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ اَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَاَبُوْءُ بِذَنْۢبِيْ فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ فَاِنَّهٗ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ
Allaahumma anta rabbee laa ilaaha illaa anta, khalaqtanee wa-ana ‘abduka, wa-ana ‘alaa ‘ahdika wawa‘dika mas-tata‘tu, a‘oothu bika min sharri maa sana‘tu, aboo-o laka bini‘matika ‘alayya, wa-aboo-o bithanbee, faghfir lee fa-innahu laa yaghfirudh dhunooba illaa anta
O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I have committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.
Section: Istigfaar which are mentioned in Hadith
377. Masnun Istegfar #1
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ
astaghfir-ullaah
I seek Allah’s forgiveness.
378. Masnun Istegfar #2
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite more than seventy times a day:
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوْبُ إِلَيْهِ
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ
astaghfir-ullaaha wa atuwb 'iilayhi
I seek forgiveness of God and repent to him.
